On worth, wonder, and who we really are

I’ve been reflecting lately.
Actually, I do that all the time — it’s part of my exploration of all that is: the world, life… you know, all those big things.
And then there are the smaller things: relationships, work, passions, dreams.
But the most important — and most valuable — reflection I return to again and again is this:
Who am I?
And how can I make this life of mine as wonderful as possible — not just for myself, but so that, by living it fully, I might help others recognise the wonder of their lives too?
How can I live so in alignment with my inner being — which I understand adores me no matter what I do or how I feel — that I can’t help but extend that same love and respect to others, no matter who they are or how they show up in my life?
And how can I feel so grounded in my own worth that what I share comes through clearly — not to convince or persuade, but to inspire others to sense their own value and passions?
How can I be the best version of myself… for you?
What stories can I share, what words can I offer, what experiences can I hold, that might help you remember that you, too, are worthy?
You might reasonably ask:How could I possibly know that — especially if we’ve never met?How could I, without knowing your full story or what you’re carrying right now, say with such confidence that you are wonderful and beautiful — especially if you don’t feel that way yourself?
And even if you do have some sense of your worth… who am I to speak about who you are, or who you can be?
Good questions.Valid ones.
And I won’t try to justify these thoughts or desires within me.
But this much I know from experience: the more deeply I connect to my own inner being — and the more I feel the truth of my own worth — the more naturally I come to sense the value of every other being on this planet.
Including you.
Why?
Because when I truly feel my own worth — and realise that it isn’t conditional, that it doesn’t come from doing something “right,” “good,” or “clever” — but from the simple awareness that I am part of this vast, beautiful creation we call life… then I also know that every part of this creation is worthy in and of itself.
Including you.
Seen from this place, the stories we’ve been told about our unworthiness, our wrongness, our weakness — they are just that: stories. They are not you. They are not me.
They are beliefs that have formed as we’ve slowly lost touch with our deeper truth, generation after generation, while exploring life on this contrasting planet.
But they don’t have to continue to hold us.
This is why I love these reflections and explorations I mentioned at the beginning.
The more I wonder about who I am and why I’m here, the closer I come to hearing the answers from my inner being — my essence, or my heart, if you prefer.
And those answers don’t arrive as words, lessons, or parables.
They arrive as feelings.
As relief.Ease.A softening in the heart.Calm.Peace.Excitement.Love.
They arrive as shivers through the body, as tension releasing, as deeper breaths — and as choices made from what I want, rather than what I feel I must.
I explore my sense of worth in meditation, on walks with my dog, through listening to wise teachers, through movement, and simply by looking around and noticing what I appreciate.
That’s all.
And it’s everything.
So now I’m curious about you.
How do you hear your inner whisper? How does your connection to your own truth feel right now?Do you long to explore more — to expand, to feel the quiet thrill of recognising your own worth?
Or are you content exactly where you are, for the moment?
I would truly love to hear your story — and your desires. If you feel called, simply hit reply and share.
And if you’d like to explore more deeply with me, you’re warmly welcome to visit my website or reach out here. I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
Much love,
Emma
